A Good Crime Was Had By All

I confess that you will, without a shadow of a doubt, need a lifeboat or at least a rope to save yourself from the frenzy that will flood your video section when everyone including, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Rebecca, the farmer's wife, the lodger, and every notorious psycho in your town finds out about Alfred Hitchcock's 100th on Friday the 13th of August. If you're not prepared, things could go downhill fast — it could be murder! But fear not O young and innocent librarian there is the way to keep those folks spellbound with your library's Hitchcock offerings and avoid vertigo.

Here's how:

  1. Create a nifty poster, flyers, and/or bookmarks about Alfred Hitchcock pointing out the available resources on the subject using our print graphics and fonts.
  2. Make a Hitchcock page for your Website. Check out our Web graphics and links.
  3. If your video department is a bit "Hitchcock challenged" divert some of the folks waiting for videos to other library resources. Develop a list of available books and post it near the videos. Check out our Alfred Hitchcock Booklist — see if there may be something you will want to add to your collection.

Get hitched to a Hitchcock program soon so that people won't think your library is for the birds and take 39 steps to leap from your rear window.
