California Society of Association Executives Award Goes To California Library Association
A Tapestry of Diversity

The logo for the 1996 California Library Association Conference was honored by the California Society of Association Executives (CSAE) as the Most Outstanding Logo for the year. The logo celebrates the California Library Theme for the year's conference, "A Tapestry of Diversity," with an image of hands shaking centered on a symbolic tapestry and includes the word "library" in several languages. The image was used on the cover of the July-August 1996 edition of the CLA publication, California Libraries, which served as the preliminary program for the organization's annual conference.

The California Society of Association Executives represents professionals in the association community within California. For information about the CSAE call the association at (916) 443-8980. You may wish to check to see if there is a similar association in your state or local area—there are many state and local groups nationwide.

The National ASAE is hosting a contest for the best association Web sites. If your library, library support group or foundation has a Web site that you wish to enter, visit the ASAE web site for more information or call (202) 626-ASAE (2723).
