Take A Flyer On Amnesty

A flyer is a great way to communicate. If you can get a patron to take a flyer home you have the potential to reach everyone in a household — even those who never come into your library. Further, a flyer is easy to create and inexpensive to produce.

To create your own custom flyer grab the blank flyer in Acrobat format here (sample_flyer.pdf — 345KB) and follow the instructions thereon. You will need a reasonably good computer printer and copy machine, any word processor software you want to use and some brightly-colored paper to copy your finished artwork onto.

Put some stacks of flyers in strategic places around your library, give every patron who checks out materials a copy and if you are really ambitious, get some volunteers to pass some out at the local mall or shopping area. Spread them around.

In case you didn't know, they call them 'flyers' because when you use them to publicize your amnesty campaign the overdue materials 'fly' back to the library. Honest!
